What is Surging Markets?
Surging Markets is a trading-focused platform combining market data, AI-assisted trade analysis (Surge It), a social Trading Floor, and an optional auto-trade engine. It is built for retail traders who want institutional-grade tooling without writing code.
How do I take my first trade?
Open the Hub, pick a pair from the Pair Pool, run the Pre-Trade Checklist, then either place the trade manually with your broker or let Surge It auto-execute through a connected broker.
What's the $3 Ignite Challenge?
Ignite is a low-friction onboarding flow priced at $3. It walks you from signup through your first profitable Done-With-You (DWY) trade — daily play card, gated bucket selection, optional one-click DFY auto-execute.
How do I connect a broker?
Go to Settings → Broker Connections. Supported brokers (OANDA, MetaTrader 4 bridge) ask for API credentials or an account token; once connected you can route signals to that broker for auto or manual execution.
Do I need a paid plan to test the platform?
You can browse markets, watch the Trading Floor, and read educational content on the free tier. Auto-trade, FSB signals, and Voice Lobby require a paid Surggies tier.
What pairs and markets are supported?
120 OANDA forex pairs plus 769 crypto pairs from Coinbase. Major indices (QQQ, SPY, DIA) and commodities (gold, silver, oil, natural gas) are surfaced via OANDA CFDs.
Where do I see my trade history?
Trade Performance dashboard tracks every executed trade, P&L, drawdown, and per-strategy stats. Filter by date range, broker, or strategy bucket.
How does the Daily Pass work?
The Daily Pass gives 24 hours of full Pro access for a single flat fee. It auto-expires — no recurring charge — and is the cheapest way to try premium features before committing to a subscription.
What's the refund policy?
Refunds are governed by our Refund & Profitability Guarantee. See
/legal/refund-policy for the full terms, eligibility windows, and how to file a claim.
Can I downgrade?
Yes. In Settings → Billing, switch to any lower tier and the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current tier benefits until then.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription. Cancellation is immediate for the renewal and you retain access through the end of the paid period.
Which payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Crypto payments and PayPal are supported on select tiers.
Do you offer team or affiliate pricing?
Yes. Visit the Affiliate Hub or contact support for white-label and team pricing.
Will I be charged sales tax or VAT?
Stripe collects local sales tax / VAT where required by law based on your billing address. Invoices showing the breakdown are available in Settings → Billing → Invoices.
What is Surge It AI?
Surge It is our trade-assistant engine. It fuses BTMM, MMM, and FFF strategy weights with FSB/MT4 signal confirmation, then surfaces a single high-conviction trade with entry, stop, and target. Optionally, it can execute the trade for you via a connected broker.
Is auto-trade safe?
Auto-trade is gated by multiple safety layers: per-trade risk caps, daily loss limits, kill switch, broker-side margin checks, and a Pre-Trade Checklist that must pass before any DFY (Done-For-You) execution fires.
What's the kill switch?
A single button — bottom of the auto-trade panel — that immediately halts all open auto-trade sessions, cancels pending entries, and disables new signals until you re-enable. It also fires automatically when daily loss limits are hit.
Which brokers are supported?
OANDA (REST v20 API) for forex and CFDs, and MetaTrader 4 via our MT4 bridge. More brokers are on the roadmap — vote in the Trading Floor #feature-requests channel.
Can I run auto-trade on demo accounts first?
Yes. When connecting a broker you can choose Practice / Demo. All auto-trade behaviour is identical to live — only the funds are simulated. We strongly recommend at least one week on demo first.
How much capital should I allocate?
Surge It defaults to a fixed-fractional 1% risk per trade. You can adjust this in Auto-Trade Settings, but we recommend never exceeding 2% per trade for retail accounts.
Will the AI close trades automatically?
Yes. Every auto-executed trade ships with a server-side stop loss and take profit on the broker side, plus an optional trailing-stop rule managed by Surge It.
What is Voice Lobby?
Voice Lobby is real-time audio rooms — think push-to-talk co-trading. Drop into a room, share your screen idea verbally, and trade alongside other members. It is gated to the Surge/Lifetime community tier.
Who can I trade with?
Any other member in the same lobby. Public lobbies are open to all community-tier users; private lobbies require an invite from the room owner.
How do I mute?
Click the mic icon on the floating lobby pill (bottom-right while in a lobby) or press the spacebar shortcut. A second click re-enables your mic. Hosts can also mute participants from the lobby roster.
Can I record a lobby session?
Lobby audio is not recorded by default for privacy. Hosts can enable session recording with explicit notice to participants — recordings are stored in the host's University library.
What are the lobby rules?
Be respectful, no financial advice presented as guaranteed, no signal-selling. Violations result in temporary mute, removal, or account suspension depending on severity.
Why can't I hear anyone?
Check the browser microphone permission (see Troubleshooting → Microphone permission denied), confirm your speaker volume, and try leaving and rejoining the lobby. Most issues are browser-permission related.
Surge AI isn't responding
First, check the Surge AI status pill at the top of the Hub. If it shows offline, our LLM router has fallen back — wait 30 seconds and retry. If still failing, hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) and clear browser cache. Persistent issues: open a Bug Report from the right-side menu.
Chart not loading
TradingView charts depend on a live market-data feed. If candles are missing: (1) check your subscription tier supports that symbol, (2) toggle the timeframe button to force a refetch, (3) clear browser cache, (4) confirm no ad-blocker is blocking api.twelvedata.com.
Pre-trade checklist won't open
The Pre-Trade Checklist is keyboard-shortcut P while focused on the chart pane. If clicking the button does nothing, your session may have expired — log out and back in. Browser console errors should be reported via Bug Report.
Microphone permission denied
Click the padlock icon next to the URL in your browser, switch the Microphone permission to Allow, then reload the page. On macOS you may also need to grant your browser microphone access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Auto-trade signals aren't firing
Verify (1) broker connection is healthy in Settings → Broker Connections, (2) you have not hit the daily loss limit, (3) the kill switch is OFF, (4) the strategy bucket you subscribed to has an active signal. The Trade Performance tab shows the latest signal status.
Login loop / can't stay signed in
Clear cookies for the mmm.surgingmarkets.com domain, then sign in again. If you use Safari, ensure 'Prevent cross-site tracking' is not blocking our session cookie. Still stuck? Reset password via the forgot-password link.
Payments failing
Stripe declines are usually card-issuer fraud holds. Try a different card, ensure billing address matches the card on file, or contact your bank to authorize the charge. Persistent declines: contact support with the Stripe error code shown.
